Meet Sara

Being a mom is my favourite job but I have been dancing, running and, above all, training lots of moms or moms to be a bit all around Europe and I am so happy to do the same now in Canada.

My name is Sara, I have a past as a gymnast first, a dancer later and then a marathoner.

I’m from Italy where I got my first education as a “MammaFit instructor” when my first boy was born. From that moment I quit my career in marketing and I pursue my passions: my boys, travelling, fitness, sports in general and everything who keeps you heatlhy.

I love the freedom and the energy of a run, a good sweat after a fitness class and…dancing like crazy!!

Meet Jessica D

Jessica's journey to becoming a personal trainer started after the birth of her daughter. As a lifelong athlete, her world was rocked when her pregnancy forced her to take a dramatic step back from activity. Getting back to exercise felt overwhelming, and ultimately it inspired her to help fellow moms navigate their own fitness journey. Her coaching practice aims to help women feel gratitude for all their body has and can do, and feel strong mentally and physically in a way that’s sustainable for their “new normal”.. Jessica holds a Personal Training Specialist (canfitpro) and GGS Pre and Postnatal Coaching certification (2022). When she's not in the gym, you can find her chasing around her daughter, cycling dirt roads or hiking in the Bruce Peninsula.

Meet Claire

As a longtime multi-sport athlete and proud mother of two boys – being active has always been an integral part of Claire's life. While attending the University of Toronto, Claire was identified as a national rowing team prospect. For the next five years Claire dedicated herself to an intense training regime in pursuit of qualifying. Following a life of constant training and competing, she discovered postpartum that she had lost 12 pounds of muscle. While keen to build back her fitness, she knew she needed to do so carefully. Claire was dismayed to find there was no postnatal training available in Hamilton. Following the birth of her second son, she decided it was time for change and that mothers in Hamilton deserve to have access to prenatal and postnatal training. This led her to joining Mighty Mom!

Claire is a certified Personal Training Specialist (canfitpro) with Pre and Postnatal Coaching certification (GGS). Claire's professional background includes Recreation and Rehabilitation therapy in Acquired Brain Injury and Mental Health. Her coaching history is extensive in several sports, including rowing, water polo, highland dancing and co-leading November Project Toronto. When not spending time with her family and friends you can find her rowing at Hamilton's Leander Boat Club. Claire is passionate about building inclusive communities and is on the Row Ontario Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility Committee and is the Chair of Recreation for Hamilton Alliance for Tiny Shelters. Join Claire to access training, education, and a community that meets the needs of all mothers no matter where they are at in their prenatal/postnatal journey!

She hopes to help moms feel strong and confident through exercise and movement.

In her free time, she enjoys going on trail walks with her family, doing math with her kids, making music, reading and meditation.
