Prenatal & Postpartum: How To Take Charge of Your Fitness in 2022

Here is something you don’t know…

Successful Exercise is 99% just showing up. It’s not about how many squats you can do or how much you can bench. For the majority of you out there – even getting a 15 min workout in and a shower in the same day is a huge win.

Moms are working on a different planet when it comes to exercise. I live on this planet so I get it. You want to exercise. You really do. But you just don’t have the time or energy or knowledge of that to do with the little amount of time you do have.

If you are wanting to shake it up in 2022 – your mindset can be a great place to start.

1. Stop comparing yourself to others – stop the scroll (even of me if you have to) and focus on you!! Your life, body and set of circumstances are very different and your successful fitness routine will also look different. I promise.

2. YOU ARE A PRIORITY – Say it again.

3 and 4 ) THE MOM GUILT is just so hard to overcome. It grows inside you and you know you shouldn’t feel it but you can’t help it. Making time for yourself feels selfish – STOP IT. You are allowed to ask for time for mental and physical health. IT IS NOT SELFISH. FULL STOP.

4. Nothing is perfect – EVER – If you are waiting for the perfect workout and the perfect time to do that workout, you will never workout. CONSISTENCY is everything. Find someone you can love and do consistently and you will succeed.

5. I used to think that if I didn’t get an hour to exercise – it wasn’t a good workout. My ‘all or nothing’ mindset was killing my motivation and positive momentum.

Did this hit home for you? Do you do ANY of these things? Can you commit to releasing yourself from at least one of these things in 2022?
