Prenatal & Postpartum Exercise: Pregnancy is not a special population

Pregnancy is not a special population

85% of women have kids. So here is my question….

I recently read this in my @pregnant.postpartum.athlete course and it made me angry.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Why is it taking FOREVER to get decent fitness programming for prenatal and postpartum women?!

And can we please remember that once you have a kid – YOU ARE ALWAYS POSTPARTUM!!

I have surrounded myself with educated people (like much smarter than me) so I know what is good and what is bad but I know that this is the exception and not the rule.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The good news is – things are changing. Mothers are actually starting to talk, share their experiences and are Demanding better for the mothers coming after them.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I did. I suffered for years with pelvic pain – and now shout it from the roof tops (see previous posts) so those who are suffering can get help.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

How to workout while you are pregnant SHOULD be common knowledge and should not induce fear, anxiety or any stress. I’m working on making this an actual thing like many others around me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

How to return to exercise after baby SHOULD be common knowledge as literally millions of women do it.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

NEW MOM to MIGHTY STRONG is a program that will get back onto your higher intensity exercise that you love to do. I’ve done my very best to give you what has worked for literally hundreds of clients. We can bridge the gap between recovery and exercise – you just have to start. I can help!

Have you checked out New Mom to Mighty Strong yet?
